Experience in the field

I started my internship here with Tensentric in the Spring of 2020 and full time in Summer of 2022. I have worked on a variety of things here including embedded systems, app development, and PCB design.

What do you like about working at Tensentric?

The work environment here at Tensentric is great to keep you motivated and busy. There is a great balance between work and play. The variety of projects means that you never stop learning.

If you couldn’t be an engineer, what would you be? Why?

Astronaut. Mars is calling my name.

What’s the most interesting medical device project you’ve worked on and why?

The most interesting medical device I have worked on is an Organic Electrochemical Transistor that could detect cortisol in sweat to monitor stress levels of astronauts during space walks. It was my first medical device and involved cutting edge technology with real world applications.

What unique set of skills do you bring to Tensentric?

My background in electrical engineering helps me as a software engineer understand the computer and embedded processes involved in the software to better write and debug code.

What hobbies or non-work activities are you most passionate about?

I enjoy playing sports outside of work including disc golf, bowling, and Muay Thai.

If you could join one rock band, which one would you join and why…?

Linkin Park. They made a great soundtrack for Transformers.

When you were in elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was in elementary school, I wanted to deliver bread to stores like my dad.

If you could travel back in time, where and what time would you travel to and why?

I would go back to the Wild West in the 1860’s, mostly just to buy land for 10 cents and build a cozy cabin.
