WHAT IS YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD?

When I was attending college, I worked at the Advanced Manufacturing Sciences Institute in Denver. During that time, I worked on three separate projects for Lockheed Martin (Orion Space Model, AMC Drone Project, and Digital Skills Capstone). Then in March 2022 I started my internship with Tensentric as an industrial designer. Starting in August 2022 I transitioned to a full-time industrial designer at Tensentric!

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT TENSENTRIC?

I really enjoy every aspect of working at Tensentric! The people are amazing, from top to bottom this company feels like a family. The work is so rewarding, designing devices that help improve our user’s lives is very fulfilling work. Lastly the food, we are spoiled with catered lunches and a breakroom that is always full of snacks!

IF YOU COULDN’T BE AN ENGINEER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE? WHY?

I think that I would be a 3D Animator! I love movies and really enjoying seeing my ideas come to life in CAD. So, if I was not able to be an engineer then that’s what I would want to do.

WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING MEDICAL DEVICE PROJECT YOU’VE WORKED ON AND WHY?

I worked on a project that deals with microbiome transplants. Common medical treatments like antibiotics and chemotherapy can disrupt the patient’s microbiome with a single dose. This makes the patient more susceptible to serious health conditions and infectious diseases. For this project we helped design a device that takes the diverse microbiome of a healthy individual and encapsulates it to then help restore the disrupted microbiome of an ill patient.

WHAT HOBBIES OR NON-WORK ACTIVITIES ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?

I really enjoy sports, movies, cars/motorcycles, and technology! I played sports my whole life, so it has been an interesting transition to “beer” leagues. I love racing and action sports, whether its watching formula one, or attending Thunder Valley I like the rush of it all. I geek-out about new technology and the latest n greatest designs.

WHERE WERE YOU BORN/WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?

I was born right here in Boulder, I moved to a small town in Wyoming in 2012, and then finally moved back to Colorado in 2018.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT LIVING IN COLORADO?

I really enjoy the mountains, growing up in Colorado it is something I have grown accustomed to so I would never know which way is West without them.

IF YOU COULD JOIN ONE ROCK BAND, WHICH ONE WOULD YOU JOIN AND WHY?

I would probably join Green Day or Blink-182, I really like their music and would of like to be in a rock band in the 90’s!
