Experience in the field

I got my start in the field as a bio/systems engineer at Tensentric in 2020, and then began as a full time biochemical engineer in 2021 after graduating.

What do you like about working at Tensentric?

I like working at Tensentric because it is a company of extremely talented engineers and individuals that are all driven by their desire to help others and provide medical solutions. I wanted to connect my engineering background with the medical field to be able to do impactful work that makes changes in people’s lives, and Tensentric allows me to do that in a unique way. At Tensentric, I am able to work on projects creating devices that address the unmet medical needs of people in this world, and that is what drives me in this career.

If you couldn’t be an Engineer, what would you be? And why?

Most likely a doctor due to the ability to have a direct impact on changing people’s lives!

What unique set of skills do you bring to Tensentric?

When I am faced with a question or problem, I am determined to answer it or find a solution. When developing novel medical devices there are many unknowns and my drive and determination prevents me from shying away from difficult tasks that are important in progressing the project. My eagerness to learn helps me grow with the company as we face new challenges every day.

What hobbies or non-work activities are you most passionate about?

Living in Colorado, I love to get outside and hike, spend time on the lake, and ski in the winter. I also really enjoy experimenting with cooking!

Where were you born/where did you grow up?

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado when I was just a baby and grew up there until I went to Boulder for college.

When you were in elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

In elementary school I wanted to be an orthodontist or dentist. I had some family friends that were orthodontists and I was intrigued by their work and how impactful it is to be able to improve someone’s smile.

What do you like most about living in Colorado?

I love the weather and getting to enjoy many sunny days while still enjoying all 4 seasons. I also love all of the opportunity to be in nature and explore the beautiful landscape.

If you could join one rock band, which one would you join and why?

OneRepublic! They were my first RedRocks concert and I love their music.
