What do you like about working at Tensentric?

Being able to do a little bit of everything from hardware design to software and systems engineering. I enjoy working with other Tensentric engineers that have such a wide variety of multi-disciplinary knowledge and interests.

What’s the most interesting project you’ve worked on and why?

The Automated Oligonucleotide DNA Synthesis Technology Platform.  The project’s short timeline required every person on the project to work as fast as possible while making real-time collaborative adjustments to the design to meet the delivery date.  I had the opportunity to design 143 custom printed circuit boards and 338 custom cable assemblies for each system build as well as participate in the fluidic and thermal system design.

What unique set of skills do you bring to Tensentric?

I’ve done a little bit of everything, EE, ME, SW and can see other people’s viewpoint. I have an ability to bridge disciplines.

What hobbies or non-work activities are you most passionate about?

I’m having so much fun learning to play electric guitar.

When you were in elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be an astronaut.

What do you like about working at a company that designs medical products?

I love having the chance to make a positive impact on people’s lives by designing medical products that will help them.

If you could join one rock band, which one would you join and why?

The Canadian-American rock band Big Wreck.  It would be a dream to collaborate with legendary guitarist, singer, songwriter Ian Thornley.

What do you like most about living in Colorado?

I enjoy the climate and all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
