Tensentric’s Partners in Caring Program

Tensentric continued their yearly Partners in Caring (PIC) program by giving back a portion of 2016 profits to a variety of charities, new and old. PIC, which started in 2012, resulted in donations of $154,000 being given to various medical and engineering non-profits chosen by our partners and Tensentric over the years. The first of three checks in 2016 went to Prometheus’ charity of choice.

Prometheus is part of Nestlé Health Science and committed to improving lives through the delivery of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic products that enable clinicians to provide optimal care for their patients. They requested that the $10,000 donation go to the American Liver Foundation (ALF). Tensentric owners Wade Lukianow and Jeff Gentry accompanied Business Development Manager Bob Reiners, to present the check to Prometheus VP of R&D, Larry Mimms, GM & Head of Diagnostics, Warren Cresswell, and Executive Director of the Pacific Coast ALF, Scott Suckow.

Tensentric’s 2nd PIC check for $6000 went to Thermo Fisher’s choice; Padres Pedal the Cause (PPC). PPC believes every donation helps accelerate life-saving cancer research. Donations to PEDAL, help them reach their 2016 goal to donate $2,000,000 to world-class cancer centers. This aligns with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s goal to “enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer”. Specifically, Thermo Fisher creates innovative analytical instruments, lab equipment and specialty diagnostics providing rapid and accurate results for customers in research, clinical and applied fields. Tensentric’s CEO, COO and Director of Business Development presented the check for PPC to the Thermo Fisher team at their office in California.

PIC 2016 giving wrapped up with a $7,500 donation to Engineering World Health (EWH) in conjunction with Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD). BD is a medical devices, laboratory instruments, and diagnostic products company which helps all people live healthy lives. The team at BD, accepted the check on behalf of Engineering World Health CEO, Leslie J. Calman, who commented, “You Tensentric folks are the Best! We’re so grateful for your loyal support and help in all ways.”

2017 will see more Partners in Caring donations thanks to Tensentric’s clients and the hard-work of dedicated, rock-star engineers.
