Experience in the field

I have 23+ years of med device experience, primarily focused on navigation, robotics within the spinal, cranial, ENT, and orthopedic space. My experience ranges from software development, program / functional management, acquisition/integration leadership.

What’s the most interesting medical device project you’ve worked on and why?

The most interesting project was a combination robotically controlled spine navigation system. Four businesses (including a new acquired international company) came together to release an integrated system to market to take command of a growing market segment.

What do you like about working at Tensentric?

The team members and executive leaders are extremely talented, and the team has done a wonderful job of fostering a tightly knit people-centric culture.

What unique set of skills do you bring to Tensentric?

I love working with people. As I invest in the Tensentric team members who build the products and solutions, the business results are achieved and the people-first element of the culture grows. I also serve as a bridge-builder between people, functions, businesses, and clients (classic middle child 😊).

What hobbies of non-work activities are you most passionate about?

I love spending time with my wife and kids and doing life together with them. Time permitting, I also love golf, hiking and backpacking.

If you couldn’t be an engineer, what would you be? Why?

I would likely be an architect or a landscape designer. I love to design elegant solutions to challenging problems following proven principles of design.

What do you like about working at a company that designs medical products?

I really appreciate that the quality of life is dramatically improved for patients using products we design. I am always fascinated to hear patient stories as I can connect with my work in a more meaningful way.

Where are you from and how did you end up in Colorado?

I am a colorado native, born in grand junction. When I realized the broncos played in denver, I made my family move to the front range (at age 3) 😊.

If you could travel back in time, where and what time would you travel to and why?

I would go back to when I was in elementary school and thank my teachers for their investment in me. I am pretty sure I was not as appreciative towards them then as I am now…

If you had a billion dollars what would you do with it?

I would be an ‘anonymous giver’ who would mysteriously bless families and individuals with legitimate needs in essential areas of life such grocery money, vehicles, tuition expenses, health care, etc.
