Experience in the field

Most of my career has been in direct contact with Healthcare Practitioners. I have worked in Hospital, Long Term Care, Home Care and Physician Office settings which gives be a broad understanding of the unique needs/challenges in each of these environments; and allows me to relate these needs to the product development initiatives of our clients.

What do you like about working at Tensentric?

What attracted me to Tensentric is the people. I could tell immediately that the quality of people here is second to none. The accomplishments and testimonials from our clients are proof of that. In a service-oriented business, our people are everything.

What unique set of skills do you bring to Tensentric?

I have been in the medical device business for over 20 years in roles from sales and marketing to general management. Over that time, I have learned many aspects of our business and established a sizable network of friends and colleagues, which provides a base of potential clients to help. Since I have experience on the OEM side of Medical Devices as well as the CDMO side I understand the high-level goals and process of our customers. My commercial background helps me to understand our customers challenges and those of their end users. Practicing user driven design dramatically enhances the likelihood of clinician adoption.

What do you like about working at a company that designs medical products?

I have been in the medical device business for over 20 years and can’t imagine doing anything else. The companies we work with and the products we design/manufacture help patients every day and that is extremely rewarding!

What hobbies or non-work activities are you most passionate about?

I am an avid tennis player and enjoy biking and an occasional round of golf.

Where were you born/where did you grow up?

I was born in Denver but moved away when I was a month old. I lived in Iowa, Indiana, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Maryland as a child. However, we spent the most time in NC and would consider that “home”. As adults we have lived in Alabama, North Carolina, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

When you were in elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

If you could join one rock band, which one would you join and why?

Queensryche. Their music is energetic and melodic, and the lead singer has an amazing voice. All of their cd’s and concerts tell a story… great to see live.

If you could go back in time, where and what time would you travel to and why?

I think it would be interesting to go back to the early 1900’s in Philadelphia where my grandparents were building houses and commercial property. My grandfather’s stories were always fascinating, and he detailed them in a book, “Autobiography of a Lucky Irishman”.

If you had a billion dollars, what would you do with it?

  • Set aside money for education, enabling my family to pursue any desired further education, and create a scholarship to help others.
  • Provide a starter fund for my children’s first house.
  • Adequately fund our retirement.
  • Make energy improvements to our home, perhaps electric vehicles.
  • Donate. Spread to several charities.
